Walk On! (2020)
Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center scientific study. Walk On! study needed a full brand identity. I had created some flyer and logo work a few years back, but since the study has grown, they requested a full visual identity.
The logo, branding, flyers, and participant manual are still being used today. Before COVID-19, Walk On! enrolled over 200 older adults in a 2 day/week walking program at a single site. They are currently in the process of expanding and restarting it again.
Logo
I had the idea of emulating legs walking while keeping the identity of the legs unknown (ie. gender and age). I used transparency to keep the feeling light, inviting, and open. For colors, I wanted something that felt calm but a little exciting. I choose a typeface that felt welcoming and friendly. On the left is my iterations with the final logo on the right. Below is the logo with the tagline.
