Dancer's Symposium (2019)
Carnegie Mellon University has a Dancer's Symposium (DS) showcase every semester. Each showcase has a different one word theme. For the past few showcases, I have submitted designs for these themes to be the "brand" for that semester's showcase. My designs were not chosen.
I liked to use this challenge as a fun, creative way to practice my skills.
Fall 2019 – Equinox
Because Equinox was a similar theme to Nova (the previous semester’s theme - seen below), I reused the same idea, but changed the colors to represent the sun and warmth. I also spent a couple hours on a new logo idea.

Spring 2019 – Nova
I interpreted Nova as space so I wanted to create a cool space/stars seen using purple, pink, and blue color palette. I also decided to use a futuristic typeface to help portray my space idea.

Fall 2018 – Luxe
For Luxe, I wanted to create something that felt high end and luxurious. I played with geometry and using only type to convey luxe. I chose a light blue color to be calming and it feels high end. I knew I wanted my design to be simple and light.

Spring 2018 – vitality
For Vitality, I thought of energy. I chose to depict an energy ball that felt harsh and firm using blue to represent light.
